Schedule activities for other users

The default setting for Activity scheduling is that user can only view other users calendars.

Add capability to schedule for other users

Did you know that you can schedule meetings for yourself as well as other ACT! users? This could be your manager, other team members, etc.

To activate this capability each user needs to give other users permission to schedule for each other. Administrators and Managers already have this capability but standard users are turned off by default.

To grant this access each user needs to perform the following steps:

      Step 1. Select Schedule menu

    • Step 2. Select Grant Schedule Access option. The Calendar Access dialog box appears as shown in this popup.
    • Step 3. Select the user to grant scheduling rights. Click Access.

      Step 4. Select View and Schedule. Click OK.

You have now allowed other users to schedule for you. For you to be able to schedule for them they will need to perform the same steps above.

To begin scheduling use the following steps:

      Step 1.  Look up the contact to be scheduled and create the Activity as usual.

      Step 2.  Before clicking OK Click on the 'Schedule For' button and pick the User from the Schedule For list.

      Step 3.  Click OK when you are done.
